Beautiful and useful website that I look forward to come back to. I, however, thought that the "RottenTomatoes for Books" was Amazon. In what is this site different?

As with most things in life, you can't control what morons are doing. However, you can control how it affects you. For instance: - Chrome asks you if you want to ignore dialog boxes after a couple ones pop. - There are excellent "Download

Yeah.. I felt like Dropbox was easy to figure out how to make money (I.e. pay for storage). However, what seemed impossible was, "There's already x,y,z competitors in the field with years in advance..." And now, look at them :)

This is so hard to say that as a founder. You've went through all the YC programs, see lots of friends/startups succeed, you keep hearing things like "Never give up".. but there's come a point where "You see things from a new perspective" a

Wow, I went from 999 to 964.. that's 35 down-votes! This is insane, but not surprising coming from PHP folks. (Too serious to laugh, too stupid to switch, too stubborn to think, too old to learn, amen.)

I went from 999 to 992. I guess I should have kept my mouth shut, but it was worth it. But tbh, I have nothing against PHP; it was just a joke.

Well Git is simply great. It's fast, it's powerful, there's a very helpful community, it's integrated everywhere, there are well made and useful online repository (Yes Github, but others too), the list goes on and on. Yes, there are bazaar,

In my opinion, the most important concept to understand is "Timing windows". Vs a equally skilled player, you can't have all the advantages. Understanding the imbalances of a current situation - and taking advantage of it - is really what

So much stuff can be learned from sc/sc2 to apply in your life. Things from accepting defeat and understanding your mistakes, to know how to fight strategically. (By fight I mean it in a very vague way; Fight for a girl, Fight for a new j

tl;dr: Just give them the same slides/documents that you'd give an investor who doesn't ask for the business plan. (And, a VC asking for a 30 pages business plan might not be what you're looking for.)

I feel backbone.js is a great base to build a custom mvc framework on top of it. However, for simple projects, I find it to be to heavyweight. I.e. it's really hard to have nested collections (You have to rebind all events). Views could giv

I could hardly believe that the author of the book designed that blog.. I mean, who would like to buy a book about design with such an ugly look and feel and 1990 taste. Ironically, even the white spaces are wrong :-/ IMO, it's way better

Hmm, it's more.. I can do it in x hours the best way I know of; or I can do it in y hours by writing crappy code. So, at the end, if you tell your client that 10 hours is not enough to build a quality software but he still insist, well, it'

If you're paid per hour and your client want you to take the less possible time. It's stupid; I agree. You can try argue with him/her about the importance of it, but in the end, it's their money so it's their choice.
