I think you should pitch your product to VCs (Explaining that it's a new market with really few competitors; BUT, still serious enough that there's already a team with million in funding.) Meanwhile, build your awesome team. Then, your comp

I find it particularly awesome that these guys continued to build their product even after they were rejected. Gratz to them. It's by no mean a "prove PG wrong" but a "We've been rejected, so what? Here's my app, check it out!"

Heh, I agree somewhat that the Duck>Animal is a bit annoying.. but this: Here’s an example that I think would be better to use instead: the `Visible` hierarchy in [Pygmusic][], which is a kind of software drum machine. A `Timer

Sadly, to write good JavaScript, you somewhat need to do that. Of course, you'd use more functions instead of repeating the same patterns over and over.. but there're things you just can't factor out and this is, in my opinion of course

Seriously, it's the kind of app that make you say "Crap, this is so simple.. but so useful; I wish I had thought of that". There are several other apps that aim to make sharing movies/songs/<name-it> easier.. but starting with movie

I have to agree that it's often really sad when you submit your project and get no upvote and cannot get on the front page. However, I'm not sure a different tab is the best option.

It's not "what the school wants to teach" but more "what the student needs to know at the end of the semester". I love SICP -- for me it was a revelation which opened a new world, and is still my favorite book -- but not everyone is like th

In fact, with chrome, it's so easy to load a new page that even if I might browse 100+ pages, I just reload them everytime. I.e. g<enter> go on gmail. f<enter> facebook, etc. :p

I particularly like the Extendable with JavaScript part. A minimalist kernel implementing the Js API, the windows (with a possibility to split them), the plugin and a theme system is the way to go IMO. No cloud, no extra feature. Everything
