As a UX practitioner with engineering experience, I'm happy to see an article like this, but also a bit disheartened that in 2021 it's still a revelation for many that frustration, satisfaction, and cognitive load are key consider

This service doesn't prohibit decentralized services from existing and evolving? Cue why not both gif.

Well you can't really tip with a payment system, realistically, right? If I want to toss someone 50 cents Visa or whoever takes a fixed amount plus a percentage, so there are usually minimums.

This is a cynical stub of a thought if I've ever seen one. Say more?

It seems like your rule is a lot of complexity all to say you don't like push notifications, toasts, or modals that are advertisements.

Amazing product idea, solves a real need. My biggest concern would just be remembering you all exist when needed since this really is not a 'category' so to speak. Anyway just wanted to chime in that "Switcherland" would

Sort of disagree... It's a misleading title but the fact that it's self-driving is what makes this story interesting. Title should have added 'after human intervention' for more clarity rather than less.

There is some nuance here you're glossing over. First, someone can be offended but not targeted. My dad's racist rants offend me, that's not cancel culture. And it's not on behalf of the group he's ranting about, it

Reporting on averages is fine but you've made the mistake of thinking that average is representative of anyone. In all likelihood salaries are not normally distributed around that average, and we'd instead find a low hump (rural)

How is this true for generally appreciating assets like a house? It makes sense for commodities but until location and style don't matter I'm unconvinced there's a such thing as cost driving price in the housing market on any

Centralized and decentralized are far too broad a term to make a sweeping generalization at that level.

I won't presume to know if there's a real use case for #1 -- I agree that a centralized blockchain likely makes little sense, especially in this moment in time. But I would absolutely not be shocked if there is a use-case for &quo

First, you're assuming everyone is out for the same thing. There are and will be centralized blockchains and services that meet specific needs. That's okay. Second, it is not always a bad thing to have one fewer level of governmen

You sound like my dad watching car commercials. If you're a power user, the trailer isn't for you. You'll find what you care about; spec sheets, etc.

Leaning tower of JS just hit me in the soul after two full days of composer and npm dependency hell. I'll have to give Hugo a try for my next fitting use case.

The attribution effect is implied, is the point the parent was making, and while it's good to be aware of your point, I personally feel like the title is the least important part to critique given the obvious implication. If your point

Agreed. SSO is what would allow a bit of organic use in many organizations and create the demand needed to get a business to spend.

Three comments so far that highlight the exact point the parent was making, a true lack of empathy. VPN alone is enough complexity for most... it's hard to find one that doesn't have comments calling it potentially insecure, quest

Makes sense to me too. Given all the attempts at alternatives that don't quite work, I'd fully support an evolution of what headless means and hope to see other libraries about it. The context makes it pretty obvious.

From my experience this is a function of client side libraries not having an "owner" in place to refactor. Marketing often doesn't know or care about performance, so of course they'll just want to add over time if it mak

Agreed. The take you're replying to is logical and true but with sympathy and not empathy. In practice, the kids making these decisions have no business making them, full information or not. The numbers are so foreign and the outcome s

I don't see it yet so I'll add another: UX Architect. With your frontend knowledge and potential interest in a product role, the UX space might be a good fit. It's a great space for not getting bored because it's not sup

I know the general feel with Google is "they'll shut this down too" and correct me if I'm wrong, but this looks to be more of a rebranding/merge save for the one click to port everything and lose nothing. If that&#x
