Wow, I'd love to see some of your citations for (1). If anything, their aggressive supply chain management has helped drive down prices for things like capacitative touch screens, NAND flash, hi-dpi LCDs, etc. Last week, I ordered some part

Your line of reasoning follows from the assumption that Apple dropped Google, and not vice versa. It's entirely possible that Google declined to renew their licensing agreement with Apple after the initial X years were up. Google had Apple

Yup, no more public transport info. Until Google releases their iOS Maps app (assuming they do), the best solution seems to be loading up maps.google.com in Safari instead.

If every journalist/blogger who has been bearish on Apple (versus trolling for pagehits) actually shorted the stock, there would be no naysayers at this point :)

Tim implies that Apple knowingly ordered the switch to n-hexane in "their factories" (actually Wintek's) to improve production numbers, with no regard for the safety of the workers. Evil indeed! Sorry, I'm gonna need to see some proof befor

Foxconn employs over a million Chinese citizens. They undoubtably have enormous amounts of guanxi ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guanxi ) with all levels of the government, from local to national.

2x the CPU speed and 7x the GPU speed, all with equal or better battery life = marginal? I'm curious what what your idea of a "substantial" upgrade would be.

3G, 3GS, 4, 4S Makes sense - Apple's using an Intel-like tick/tock release approach. Coming out with a brand new industrial design every year is expensive, since Apple opts for glass/aluminum nowadays rather than plastic.

This angle of attack definitely makes sense when you consider HTC's $300 million investment in Beats By Dre - a brand that primarily targets the youth market. Good luck convincing a generation raised on iPods that the iPhone is old and stod

Was the Courier ever anything more than a bunch of concept videos? Was there ever a prototype or anything close to that? Making futuristic looking concept movies is pretty easy compared to actually making and shipping a physical product.
