They already tag everything, just search for any object in your photos library (wether you are on iOS or even Android with Google Photos) and it will find it.

Note that you don't need to actually trigger emergency SOS to make this happen, just holding down the buttons to show the power off/restart/emergency screen is enough to disable face ID.

This is what sketches me out so much about electronics like chargers by random brands on Amazon (the trend lately seems to be random characters in all caps) that surely have no oversight or conformance to standards.

I find myself ordering less and less from Amazon. For almost any product now there are tons of foreign "brands" with random all caps names that are whitelabeling products with questionable quality. With no oversight, if anything g

IIRC when I signed up for it, you had to link any other accounts that your company owns and agree to some additional stuff (since they need to make sure people aren't using multiple accounts to get around the $1MM limit). The notice is

You can use projects for this (it is what we do). Create a project for the org where non business people can add issues/todo's to and then developers can click "Create Issue" on them and create a more detailed issue for

Don't know how JetBrains did it but Rider's (their C# IDE) debugger works excellently. Haven't used VisualStudio for years actually.

I second this. .NET core works flawlessly on Linux and JetBrains Rider (and on Mac, which is what I develop on). The standard libraries and ASP.Net core are really well designed and a joy to work with.

It uses a lot more advanced techniques too, like rendering text and shapes in a hidden canvas + webgl, which will render slightly different between hardware, drivers, etc. Was also surprised to see that my HTTP_ACCEPT header was unique in 1

I think many developers have used Stripe for payments after dealing with legacy payment APIs like Authorize.Net and have seen how Stripe does it right and makes the process so much less painful, I'd assume their other products like thi

My main issue is how the webhooks sometimes give incorrect info, which has led to many customer complains when their subscription gets messed up by some edge case that I would expect to be abstracted away by RevenueCat but isn't. For e

Correct, I mean if Stripe developed a wrapper around the native APIs as other companies have done. Payment is still handled natively but Stripe would provide consistent webhooks without having to deal with Apple’s complex receipt API.

Yes, which is why I am asking for Stripe to do an IAP wrapper as other companies have tried. Apple and Android’s subscription APIs are terrible, essentially what is needed is an abstraction around them to keep user entitlements in sync with

Not related to payment links... but I would love to see Stripe take on handling in app purchases. (basically a webhook and management layer over the terrible native APIs) Companies like RevenueCat are halfway there but have nowhere as nice

#1 is awesome! I love the new record syntax for DTOs but I also like using named properties so that the ordering isn’t messed up as they are expanded (but also ensures that every property is filled out, unlike the class initializer syntax).

With tons of companies paying insane software engineering salaries, I doubt that a pipeline operator that probably doesn't invest much in IT at all is attracting the best talent either.

One thing I would love to see is React router style routing. I know some people love the file based routing, but for complex web apps I just end up having to hack my own routing onto catch all routes. For example, there is no way to build s

I run a pretty complex web app and haven't upgraded to webpack 5 yet with Next. I have some custom webpack stuff so hopefully the migration isn't too painful, but I will report back with the compilation time improvement once done.

I really hope Stripe builds out a better payment solution around the App Store and Google Play APIs. I would love to see their take on it. There are services like RevenueCat that do this but they are small companies and still don’t have the
