Perhaps this is a foolish question: how did your friend actually use the tracker? Did he input the prices from the newspapers or TV news?

In fairness Charmin is probably backed by millions of dollars of market research on simple user questions like softness, tendency to crumble, size, etc., while free software faces more criticism for issues that are exponentially more diffic

The final law just makes replacing batteries more accessible (i.e. no glue or special screws), but it doesn't mandate battery packs. Also some devices like hearing aids are exempt. I question whether battery packs would be a good thing

Hardware video decoding support for h264 and av1 just landed in 7.0 so it hasn't been a great bleeding edge experience for desktop and Plex etc users. But IMO late support is still support.

I think this one is easy to explain: it's a clash between chat idioms and forum idioms. Chats since IRC have had Enter=Send because messages were supposed to be single line, while web forums have had multiline text editors from the sta

It's obvious that the game was yanked as a reaction to the current moral panic regarding technology and mental health in minors, not for the violence or gore. This is just how moral panics are. We can say we just wanted social media to

JCDecaux famously charges everyone outside of France exorbitantly while charging nothing to Paris. For example, Paris pays as much (€6M/yr in 2006) for maintenance on its 420 sanisettes as SF does for its 24 ($13M/yr in 2022). You

People signing up for newsletters (which this site has) then immediately submitting a SAR was an unsolved issue until ECJ finally ruled against it last month [0]. I think you're missing a few steps there. It would be nice if we lived i

It also frustrates datamining of secret client-side game mechanics, story spoilers, and unreleased content (good branch management is not priority for some devs). Yeah this wouldn't stand up to the best of the best, but not all game co

It's difficult to tell what the end goal is, but you probably need to see some of these systems and broaden your understanding first. For example, Tokyo Metro has many out-of-gate transfers, where the user taps out of special gates (Ik

I believe solar carports of that size need to be constructed with steel, and South Korea has a significant steel oversupply issue now, so this provides a way to keep the industry going.

I think Mr Bradbury would remind you his book was about how passive entertainment (the "parlor") slowly eroded books for decades before the actual book burnings, not the state just suddenly banning them. In that sense, I suppose y

For some projects, the issue tracker is a pretty integral part of the documentation. Sure, you can host your own issue tracker somewhere, but that's still shifting a center point somewhere, in a theoretically decentralized system. I&#x

Years ago when the ARM China CEO held the company hostage with the company seal, there was much reporting that exoticized seals. But I was just thinking, the modern systems we've built with 2FA aren't much different! (Product idea
