Not sure about the pharmacology, but I want to say methylphenidate (Ritalin)? I have severe ADHD, so I'm taking a pretty high dose daily, and I haven't noticed diminishing effects nor rebound. My dose hasn't changed in years

I've managed to break venv, npm and composer (php). I don't use that as a reason to choose what I'll use in my projects, that's decided by the PTSD incurred from 7 years of php.
