No. There are a few reasons why this isn't an apt characterization: - Unlike somebody who flips a car, early investors are (typically) not selling their shares to later investors. Investors in different rounds do have differing interes

No, it's not quite that simple, which is exactly the point of the article. If I own 1% of a company that raises a round at a $2B valuation, my shares are worth $20M, in theory. But does that mean I can sell my shares for $20M? No, it d

It's intended for people that are building web stuff with node. So they're already writing everything in Javascript and already have a dependency on node, so using node for their build process eliminates a dependency on Make or wh

True, caution is warranted. But I think you missed a key point in the article. Unlike antibiotics, these polymers disintegrate. The article isn't clear on the mechanism–is it part of destroying a bacterium, decay over time or what?-but

I wonder if Apple would approve an app that downloads and executes Javascript using the bridge. Historically, Javascript has been an exception to the blanket rule against downloading code, but outside of a web view, that might not hold.

Which is exactly the same situation that Javascript is in now . The Javascript VM in Firefox has features that are not part of any web standard, nor part of a spec that has interest from multiple vendors.

The problem with stack ranking isn't that it's unfair to individual employees, it's that it inhibits cooperation. If "success" is defined as performing better than your peers, it creates an incentive to prevent your

Nah, that's a very minor consideration at best. "Cease to support older OS versions" means that new versions of applications won't run on older operating systems. It doesn't mean that older versions of applications

I bet you could get the number lower if you only counted fires caused by collision or overturn of a highway vehicle less than 3 years old. Or heck, just the black ones. Yes, this fire was caused by a collision, but fires caused by other thi
