I remember having the same problem earlier in my career. I inherited a code base that was a million lines of code and 15 years old. Things I tried: printed out the nastiest 2000 line function on a giant piece of paper, logged every function

I've worked in tech for over 10 years. I'm here to stay current with trends & ideas. I quit Facebook and major news outlets several years ago; this is the only news I read besides The Pour Over.

This is helpful context in understanding the saying: "If anyone would sue you and take your tunic, let him have your cloak as well." (Matthew 5:40) The ethic described in the modern vernacular is to "go the extra mile."

This is the natural consequence of killing God, as Nietzsche observed. Without an objective basis, there's no objective truth about what's valuable, right, or good. But we desperately want to be right, so we ignore what God says i

I noticed my 2019 MacBook Pro physically hot to touch even after being idle for 8 hours at night. Now I unplug my USB-C monitor and USB-C-to-USB-A adapter at the end of the day and that has solved the problem. Now when I come to the machine
