While this is not a confirmation we'll be seeing a tablet from Apple on Wednesday, it is the first thing we've heard from Apple in terms of launching a new product that I know of.

What I'm wondering is, what is it that's telling them these analytics are from a new device?

Because that system wide setting would break a ton of apps (think about games that only use landscape for example). I mean, I'd personally be fine with this, but I don't think it's as easy as that.

I'm not sure I've ever seen an app that doesn't have a settings pane either in the global settings area or within the app. I agree that adding in a landscape toggle is not going to be an option for everyone, there isn't much real-estate to

I agree with you but when building an application that has a primary use of reading lots of information, specifically in casual situations, the orientation seems like an obvious UX decision to tackle. Facebook and the new NetNewsWire apps a

Well, for those of us who use our 3GS video cameras in bed, we definitely don't want landscape turned off!

This is what I'd love to see people do. There are certain (but very rare) times when I want to use landscape. Even in Apples Mail and Messages app however I'd love for their to be a toggle. Texting or emailing in bed is just as frustrating

There are two solutions that I see, possibly three: 1. A simple option in the applications settings that allows you to turn it off completely (obviously certain games would never have this option however). 2. A toggle somewhere in the UI, I

I'd have to disagree with this. Have you owned one of the plastic Macbooks? Regardless of it being plastic it was still the toughest notebook I had owned to date. Yes, the Pro's are MUCH tougher and I'm glad I upgraded when I did, but I had

Going to have to agree that this isn't at all shocking nor a "nice thing". MMS doesn't cost any extra on any other carrier and AT&T already charges outrageous prices for their SMS plans. Not sure why this article was written in the way

I'm pretty sure it's cheaper to cancel your AT&T account (by paying the fee) and then starting fresh with them with a $200 iPhone 3GS then upgrading from a regular 3G.

Great writeup. I'm curious, is there a way to find out how much Ellington costs other then contacting them directly? Can't seem to find anything about actually purchasing the source/system on their site.

Any designer worth his salt is going to spend some time going through a discovery process with you. This is where he or she would find out exactly what you are thinking and then translate that to good design. You may think this ugly ass dog

I could care less about the 5k logo designers, but spec work is horrible and if you use sites like 99designs you are getting exactly what you pay for. No GOOD designer is going to spend hours tweaking a logo to your liking when he's competi

The UI is great, love the simplicity, but I really don't want to use Paypal for anything. Freshbooks mails me a check or hooks up to any payment gateway I want to use, meaning I don't shell out for Paypal's fees. I'm also not seeing what th
