This is such absurd hyperbole. You would think Amazon is running American slave camps and kidnapping workers. By almost any account Amazon pays well and has good benefits.

This is wild. Complains about having to read the Heroku documentation, and then goes through the steps to showcase how absurdly simple it is to deploy to Heroku with the CLI. It almost reads like an advertisement for Heroku. ...then goes

I don’t know what market you’re in, but that’s not how it works in any market I’ve bought. The seller signs an agreement with their agent, and that agreement dictates the commission and fee structure. You, the buyer, don’t pay the commissio

How are people feeling such financial pain? In the US we gave every adult over $3,000 in direct cash, and radically expanded unemployment benefits. In many states the unemployment checks were over $1,000/week for six months, then reduc

15-20% of Americans don't own a smart phone. An additional X% don't religiously carry their phone around with them constantly, or at all. The plan required nearly every single smartphone owner in the country to voluntarily use th

A better example is the Bluetooth contact tracing from Apple and Google. Laughably flawed from the beginning, and yet hailed as an incredible innovation on this very forum. People prefer to believe positive news.

The stimulus checks were essentially prepaid tax credits. If you weren’t eligible based on 2019 income, but you were eligible based on 2020, you’ll get the credits when you file your 2020 taxes.

They amended the bills to continue paying $300 - $600 per week in additional unemployment on top of the state unemployment. Why would you subtract state unemployment? These people also paid federal taxes, so should we just subtract the fede

$1,200 per person, and then $600 per person, and then $1,400 per person. Plus an additional $400-600 per week in unemployment benefits in addition to the amount states were already giving. Consider a hypothetical single person, living in Or

You're mixing up relevance and efficacy. Just because an ad is relevant doesn’t mean you’re more likely to buy. And it’s that second part, efficacy, that the ad industry can’t prove. To you, it’s obviously superior. But if it were obvi

My stove has a power boil option for that. Do you typically use your kettle to boil water for cooking? I typically don’t even keep track of how long it takes to boil on the stove. I just do the rest of the prep work.

A single Bitcoin represents 100,000,000 satoshi. Bitcoin is not scarce. We could stop mining today, and do a X:1 split every few years to keep inflation in check. Mining is all about greed.
