Always amuses me to see this since I grew up right next to the power plant that started the cascade (literally at the end of my mom's street). I wasn't in town when it started, but was on my way to see Iggy & The Stooges in De

Been a FE dev now for almost 12 years. I've grown so exhausted by just being a library manager it hurts. I made my intentions to my team recently that I had ever intention of moving over to the back end side. But it's not just the

Really curious how this ties into AEM. There is way too much marketing speak to parse out the relationship.

Sounds like people with Adobe Experience Manager experience as well. I think AEM salaries are high because there is no way to learn it on your own (from my experience). You can only learn it on the job because there is no “developer version

As a WGU grad (May 2022, BSCS) I can confirm that the program is self-paced. There are some caveats to that though. Each six-month term you need to complete a minimum of 12 credit hours. After you complete those you are free to keep working

Growing up in Cleveland this happened when Power 108 FM turned from top 40 to 107.9 The End, a total alt-rock station in the heyday of the 90's. They played REM's End of the World as We Know It for like 24 straight hours before go

You may be interested in some of the source books for the Cyberpunk RPG. A lot of the game occurs in Night City, which isn’t exactly Gibson’s but heavily inspired by it. Just about all the books have great narratives to set the tone.

I did actually. At one place I went from a average dev to a lead over a 3 year hard grind. My team merged with another and I ended up with a guy that was in his early twenties, recent CS grad, and no real world experience outside of the 3 m

Do it! I was a self-taught developer for about 8 years before I finally decided to go back to school. I talked myself out of it many, many times. Then right before covid, I decided I wasn't getting any younger. So I literally sat down

Both my mom and dad have no idea how to talk about what I do. Mom just tells people I do things with computers at a major bank. My dad tells everyone I work in IT... which drives me up a wall. Not that I don't respect IT, but as a deve

About to finish the WGU BSCS program myself and have made a lot of friends in the program along the way. Many, including myself, that choose to go to grad school look at Georgia Techs OMSCS program, which is a very solid/reputable prog

Nothing more "rewarding" than returning to the office only to sit on Zoom all day. There are days when I have back to back meetings and I have tried, practically begged, to be allowed to work from home on these days to no avail. &

One thing that prevented me from looking at getting into native macOS development has been that lack of good development resources or training. Every time I have looked at getting into it and start asking around I hear things like "Oh,

Considering LC and other sites catalogue questions and places that do use LC, why not? How would you go about getting data? If you are working with companies directly, maybe ask them what screening they do go with (project based, etc).
