Lisp's super power (homoiconicity) comes at a trade-off of reduced discriminability. A good syntax highlighter and well-indented code (like you provided) reverses this effect considerably, but imho, it still takes a lot of getting used

The culmination of such an approach is realized in the Beaker Notebook ( http://www.beakernotebook.com ). You can not only switch between languages, but the environment allows you to share datasets between Groovy, Python, JS, Juli

Strangely enough, Windows Phone 8.1 is a great option for this demographic. The typographic is big and bold. There are very few "places" in the UI. The OS is pretty efficient with battery, and IE 11 is a reasonable browser. Outloo

Adding anecdote: I know of a team that uses test-driven hiring, and they have found it to be a good indicator for subsequent performance. For javascript, you can probably set up a qunit jsfiddle (e.g. http://jsfiddle.net/Iri

I wonder if that's just a UX issue though. There are already many services which post the first 100-odd characters before continuing onto a link with the full text. Would it be so difficult for Twitter to come up with a native card for

Sure! Let's all tweetstorm and (gasp), post screenshots of tweetstorms .. :) ! Now, I didn't mean that character limits be removed completely, but a 250-character limit seems to be a good trade-off.

Dear Twitter, could you please do away with the "insane for 2015" 140-character limit? (Anyone who mentions "legacy clients" can forever hold their peace)

What an admirable stand by the AI Lab, in spite of the typical shenanigans of legal. I hope we have the same fortitude to stand up to defend those we are responsible for.

I'm really interested in how this model scales, so could you please explain a bit what was difficult to manage in pub/sub ? I would imagine that if your topics and channels are well-defined and documented in one place, and the mod

I would suggest that you follow some of work done in conferences related to the field that you are interested in. See what topics are currently being tackled and see if you can come up with initial hypothesis on the road to a solution. A Ph

This is a very US-centric view. Other than the US market, Nokia was crushing rivals everywhere. They had amazing repeat buyers, generational buyers, and an almost invincible brand. People didn't give two hoots about Symbian/Meego

People skeptical about Windows 8.1 should try one of the new 8-inch tablets ( I tried a Dell Venue 8 Pro). The Modern UI just makes so much sense on it. Very satisfying experience once you spend 5mins getting used to it ..
