Yes, I did. Slept at the office during crunchtime, identified myself with a very unhealthy work ethic and got burnt out doing so. Many of my friends have gone through the same thing - I think it's very common if you're a young sel

That's a very helpful feature. I was helping out a friend with no experience in networking setups with his first homelab a while back, this could have saved me some time :)

First time I hear about this and it brought a smile to my face. I'm one of those "web assembly sounds great, but when am I actually supposed to use it"-guys, but this use case is so perfect and makes me really happy. We forge

I'm sceptical. Are there calculations on shipping for the olivine? If it's primarily mined in certain parts of the world it's going to have a big cost in shipping - there's a reason why regular sand is sourced as locally

The F# pipelines look interesting, but how should one think about this? It's a Stage 1 proposal, meaning it could actually not only be changed, but also be dropped from the TC39 consideration. Will future babel versions under the 7 tr

Well, these guys do have a good way to make money. Enterprise contracts are worth their weight in gold. As you could see from the quote, their revenue has increased more than their losses - which mean that they are on their way to become pr

I'm with you here. Seems really counter-productive to stop a community from going at it. Opens the door for future products and/or sequels. I guess it could lead to bad marketing for the studio or original publisher if the game it

Depends on the idea itself. If it's a business idea, talk to people in your imagined target group and validate that the need is real, and that the way you want to solve it isn't wrong in an immediate sense.

Do it piece by piece. There's no need to do it all at once, so start incorporating it where it makes sense when opportunity shows itself. By doing a massive rewrite you're just inviting badly structured code.

Hey, javascript is fundamental to web today, unlike 20 years ago. Even if a site like this definitely wouldn't need javascript since it's so simple, there really isn't much of a trade-of since less than one percent of all vis

Well, to be fair, historically "Vegan" is kind of a new term. Vegetarian was vegan before, but nowadays we say "Vegetarian" but we mean specifically lacto-ovo vegetarians (i.e. still consuming eggs and milk).

Have you talked properly to the colleague in question? It seems like you've bottled up all this frustration for far too long, making this infected, which in turn makes it harder to talk about it. Even if it's hard, just tell him h

It's not for me but I'm happy that this little machine gets to continue with new iterations. I guess the only question is "who is it for" and "why is it for them"?

The web still needs interactivity. Whilst JS might not be the best thing, what would you recommend? Interactive UI isn't an easy beast to tackle regardless of language.
