I agree that the ACA needs work, and has some questionable elements. The conflict I have is that I see as so much better than the previous non-system that it's hard to argue about it's crappy parts without someone jumping on the

I get the feeling that if we were in real fear of the Brits trying to reclaim the land, and an untrained militia had a chance of being useful, this might go over just fine.

It also gave a lot of us the ability to get insurance. Pre-existing conditions prevented an awful lot of people from getting insurance or changing jobs. This fixes that huge hole. No one is saying it's perfect, but it's going i

When I used it (forms), it sure seemed powerful in idea, but I ended up with a ridiculous amount of code to generate dynamic forms (different field types depending on the object instance). I will safely assume that as a beginner I was missi

Can someone familiar with Grails and Django give their 2c? I've done a fair amount of work in Grails, and when I did a small project in Django I found it somewhat more difficult to work with. With Django, the quick test runs and start

Just stop with this nonsense. There's likely more story here than what the article provides. Most likely he had been told before not to plug in, has an unrelated dispute with someone at the school, etc. Not every story needs to be an

I use emacs or sublime for java coding 90% of the time. Of course it is vital to have large screen real estate/extra monitors so I can keep the various docs open for reference. I prefer this approach because I learn more about the pa

The 'feel special' analogy is a terrible one. Surely you don't propose picking the first person off the street to marry just because they want to be married?

I get that. It's just a dead horse at this point. The only ones keeping it alive seem to be the defensive work-at-home people.

Wow. Why are we all of a sudden so interested in what Yahoo is doing these days? They aren't a leader in, well, anything, but now the internet is in a frenzy about this work-from-home recall. How's this for an idea? Let's see if Yahoo is

Am I the only one that can't get past "Ibuprofen" in the title and his talk of Tylenol (Acetaminophen) in the text? He would probably be better off taking ibuprofen for his wrists, assuming it is an inflammation problem.

I'd really like to see some science behind this hand size -> bad free throw shooter statement. This is spouted all the time, and everyone likes to point out Dwight and Shaq. People seem to forget that Kareem, Yao Ming, and Shawn Bradl

Yes, but those are opt ins as far as I know. That is, you agree to have said device installed so you can be eligible for a discount. Agreeing to have such a device installed and then installing a jammer doesn't strike me as logical.

I agree with you, but as a developer, I prefer these types of tools to get out of the way. Jira and Confluence seem to be written for managers that can live in them. For them, I'm sure the experience is much different.

To the car analogy. That's exactly what it means. As a driver I have no obligation to honor your request to change lanes. It is your obligation to decide if moving sideways into my car is the right move. In the above case, and in tynt's

I don't think this an accurate analogy. Most newsstands won't sell porn for example. And it isn't like those newsstands carry every magazine that might have valid news. They have to pick, and I'm betting they pick them based on what is
