As a contrary point, I lived 5 minutes on foot from the office and still greatly preferred staying at home (even though I didn't expect that to be true before I switched to remote). The ergonomics of an office workplace can't comp

This looks quite cool! I'm not sure though why I would use this over the original jq. However, I can definitely see the value in embedding this into my own applications, to provide jq scripting inside of them. Shameless plug: As I'

An important difference is that afaik Babashka is an interpreter, so will be fairly slow. It's fast at starting . While this is LLVM JIT, so will compile the Clojure code to native code just-in-time, and then run the native code.

This looks so cool! It does look like it has some technical similarities to Julia, with the LLVM JIT and such. It'd be great to see some benchmarks. Also see the GitHub[0], which looks like the author put a ton of work into this so far

That looks cool! Though it looks like it only works for Java-based Lambdas, unfortunately. Does it only work with HTTP Lambdas / manual invocations, or does it also play well with others, like SQS subscriptions? I think that's th

Partly yes, but not fully. The idea is not to go back to the Software Engineer asking the Ops team "Hey, can you provision a Postgres database for me please?" and then waiting a week for it. It's that the Software Engineer ta

The semantics of standard CI/CD providers are in practice very ill-suited to more advanced Infrastructure-as-Code use cases (triggering other stacks based on changes, multi-repo workflows, etc.), so building on top of them would add a

Having had experience with it from a "backend for the frontend" perspective, GraphQL is nice because it gives you an API for free and does partly decouple the frontend team. At the same time, with most backend GraphQL frameworks t
