Last time I checked the UK was considered a first world country. Edit: I commented earlier that I never considered myself part of the market that VPN companies hawk their services to. I've been living in the UK for 5 years now and the

That may be your use case, but it by no means it's reflective of anyone else's. I live in a country that actively blocks and limits your connectivity to (ordinarily) public websites. Choosing an exit point that's in a differe

I get advertisements for VPN providers almost everywhere. I've never been interested, but I do subscribe to Mullvad via Tailscale. So, I'm thankful and appreciative that they did their due diligence and partnered with a reputabl

I couldn't tell you the exact details (I'm only passingly familiar with how it works myself), but you'd almost certainly want to start by looking into web assembly. I found a-Shell's documentation[1] quite interesting, i

Cool site, what software do you use? I like Frontpage 2000, but I'm hearing good things about Dreamweaver. Can anyone recommend a good WYSIWYG editor that creates conformant HTML 4.01?

This is very well done. I wouldn't and don't consider this to be AI slop. The author's own reflection captures perfectly my own feelings on the matter... intent does matter. I think what gets lost in a lot of the AI med

Any reason for not also adding a project.scripts entry for pyproject.toml? That way the CLI (great idea btw) could be installed as a tool by uv.

I appreciate this analysis is on the state of terminal emulators , but I'm curious how well the integrated terminals that come bundled in code editors/IDEs also perform. For example, where does Zed's integrated terminal fit

This is very similar to how DoIT manage their client projects. I needed to add one of their service accounts to my organization's IAM policy so they could have complete visibility over all resources for monitoring / cost reporting

I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but the application bundle on macOS hints at a pretty robust scripting API using Javascript. The functionality doesn't seem to be exposed from what I can see in the app. /Applications

Has anyone had any luck compiling bat for WebAssembly? I tried recently to get a version I could run on a-Shell[1] on iOS, but ran into issues with some of its dependencies. [1]: https://github.com/holzschu/a-shell

Stumbled upon this earlier today. I really like the functionality you can get from using Shortcuts, but I absolutely detest creating them. As far as DSLs go, this looks like a huge improvement. Also I'm shocked not to have seen it men

Exciting! Looking forward to it. I end up needing xcaddy for a few other modules so it's not that big of a deal, but I always feel better using first-party functionality over relying on third-party modules.

I use and appreciate both Traefik and Caddy. I like that Traefik includes TLS termination, whereas the equivalent functionality with Caddy requires compiling a separate module with xcaddy.
