Thanks for expanding on that aspect! This is exactly the sort of things people should have brought up. I feel like the suspicious thing is that people didn't react in this way. Why was this not a glaring problem that his supporters r

There's a lot of unsubstantiated things, but I can work with that. Here's a response with the same level of justification for the statements > He stood up for the truth The things he said are not true. He did not stand up for t

You might want to read Slavoj Zizek on ideology, since that's a deeper philosophical look at the same phenomena. Here's the quick video of him explaining it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk8ibrfXvpQ Basically,

Does losing talent and having trouble finding executives count? No COO, CFO and CMO for such a long time means the CEO was not doing his most important job: creating a high-functioning executive team. https://www.bloomberg.com&#x

That might be a big deal in America, but it has not been part of Uber's appeal in Australia. Uber here is absolutely focused on the product experience. If anything, there's a proportion of people who supported local government rul

You'd need to know what the burn rate is composed of: their engineering organisation might be less expensive than the marketing budget in a single major market. If they cut ad spend and raise costs, then their growth story stops and ot

Calling this a 'teachable moment' is really letting the person off the hook for observing and learning up before now. If he hasn't learned by now what is appropriate behaviour, why do you think he'll ever learn? And if h

Could you explain what you see as the 'moral spot' exactly? Helping people say anti-semitic stuff doesn't seem like an inspirational position. Isn't the greater danger to society acceptance of intolerance?

It probably depends on their alternatives, so cities are probably going to have more viable competitors to use than rural areas. 60% seems extremely high to me. I'm sure it's happening at some level, but it would have a significan

I don't think the public pressure is nonsensical: Koch may be doing the right thing in some areas and not others. Why does it have to be so black-and-white? Can't people raise issues that they genuinely believe to be bad for the c

My understanding was that the SDK at release 1.0 would have been terrible, and an expensive maintenance burden. The internal teams rushed hack jobs just to get the first iPhone out the door, there was a _lot_ of internal bugs and half-bake

Turn that around: lets say you know Swift because you're an iOS developer. What web dev languages or platforms can you use? The same argument was made about Node.JS, that backend services already had great languages / platforms &#

I have to agree, from direct experience on some long-lived projects. Code entropy is a surprisingly strong force, and needs a strong technical culture to balance and keep a code base healthy.
