I think this type of Autocomplete only works on fixed lists. You're right, it would be completely annoying if it were a free text field with autocomplete suggestions...

I think I have seen this implemented before and when it inserts the extra 'oo' it automatically ignores extra 'o's that might be typed. It allows for users to actually type Google, but also allows users to type 'Ggl

I wonder why in Australia, where cigarettes cost the most, the 'taxes as a share of price' is also not the highest on the map. The tobacco companies just charging more and blaming the tax... Turkey, France, Chile, Finland have tax

I have had whatsapp for years (well prior to the FB acquisition) and have never paid for a subscription. I might have paid $1 originally (don't remember). Subscription payments for apps wasn't a thing back then on iOS.

It is a shame how quickly the internet loses content. The first few experiments linked in the document lead to 404 pages, even an inline image is 404'ing. It would have been great if the author of the MSFT article maybe included screen
