Yeah I was going to say the same thing - love that optional chaining syntax... Would cut down so many checks and balances needed to avoid those errors.

Pretty cool to have been part of the mission. I actually scrolled through his IG to find your post - so cool! Good on you for taking part. https://www.instagram.com/p/BpRwd9HnfGU/

You often pay for things > $10K in cash? You also pay by barter for those things?

How would this bill work in practice? People who use cash for tax dodging aren't reporting true values anyway. (have not read any of the documents) I guess in the past they could have had a job quoted at $500K. Paid "in cash"

Yeah unfortunately I contribute two users - WhatsApp and Instagram to that count. I am sure plenty of people count multiple times because the services may not be linked together. IG, WhatsApp, FB and even FB Business accounts would all coun

I am in Australia and the link worked fine, so this must only be true for certain ISPs?

There is a lot of negotiation room with solar installs. I paid just shy of $7K AUD for a 8.2kW Fronius inverter with 9kW worth of Suntech panels. The solar credit scheme contributes quite a lot of money to the installers so subsidise the se

No one has mentioned it here, but what is on the above ground side of these caverns? Is it national parkland or is it urban?

That is a pretty cool idea but I can't see it being fast enough to dynamically update the video stream could it? Very cool idea though.

I didn't do this myself, but couldn't you load the page and then disconnect from wifi before running/testing?

If it works, you will see a live feed of your webcam with your face encircled with your pupils highlighted as red dots... its pretty impressive! I'm guessing your browser is blocking the webcam, or maybe its not configured correctly to

I can't see how the continued erosion of the middle-class is not going to have huge impacts on the livelihood of everyone else.

I don't understand what you think the issue here is? My interpretation of this is that the customer had pre-paid credit on their account. Meaning they had not been through the typical bill cycle yet (hitting an external payment method)

Yeah that's amazing isn't it. Replacing blood with water sounds like magic though. The blood does more than just carry oxygen doesn't it? I was just saying though, if he did have more oxygen down there he would have had to be

Yeah even if the unmanned drones are too hard, having spare tanks at the work site sounds like an easy way to at least supply oxygen... however without the umbilical cord he loses the heat supply. Maybe its more pleasant to pass out while y

Wow that was an interesting read! This quote got me. All because of compression & decompression. > “It is quicker to get back from the Moon than it is from the depths of the sea in some ways.”

Same. I kind of wish I had a need for this sort of thing. Without this sort of library I would have zero chance of building this myself. Amazing.

I hate that my gym uses FB as its primary communication tool. I don't use FB and often miss out on news and announcements. I love the gym and I am probably the only member who doesn't use FB so I don't expect them to change,

Fair enough that not all tap water is created equally. I live in Australia (Sydney) and tap water tastes fine to most (obviously a very subjective thing). To be honest, the argument for bottled water (I incorrectly thought) was more due to

This just hurts to read... It is almost as bad as the somewhat inexplicable growth in bottled water in places where tap water is perfectly acceptable. In fact many of the branded bottles of water are not spring water but bottled tap water.
