And, of course, they're not stopping. In Liz Truss' first PMQs yesterday one of the questions was on pushing for a return of the online safety bill for further "regulation" of the internet, which Truss said is going to c

Is that the purpose of the regulation, or a side effect that some happen to be content with? I'd have thought there would be better tools for the purpose of limiting throughput.

I guess every piece of knowledge could be considered memory. But I can see a difference between memorising the stripes on street furniture or which countries streetview has visited for the sake of playing such games and just knowing which d

I think it does logically - in any countries where you have more direct democracy than the EU flavour, certainly easily achievable in respect of the Commission. Whether that has any practical difference given the nature of politicians and p

Thanks, appreciate it, I'll read through these. I'm pretty convinced this would happen eventually anyway, but then again, it hasn't yet. More than happy for you to pass this on to anyone, and for anyone to come back to me - I

Yeah, I was working on a Radiology Information System under NPfIT. We ended up putting in configuration options for everything we were asked to change, despite being explicitly told not to make it configurable and ended up just changing fla

Thanks. I was expecting a less UK familiar audience, I've over simplified the problem semi-deliberately, largely to avoid falling into discussing the general mess that is NHS IT. :) My first job probably 20 years ago now was on a Radio

I'm conflicted on this type of problem. The bit I particularly struggle with is the alternative - if we don't go there and attempt to break down the barriers with ordinary people, what hope is there for the country? Just sit tight
