In my experience its more about the screen real-estate more than the ability to use one hand to navigate a phone that drives people to upgrade their phones to the phablet sizes. People don't seem to care that they can't reach ever

Yes. I do. Not that my opinion matters much. I was born in 91, I grew up as the internet grew up. Before I understood HTML or anything about programming, I used the web to watch videos on Lego.com or play really bad flash games on Newground

I wish I was rich enough to view getting a bonus of $20.00 an hour for fun-time work as being more offensive than receiving nothing at all.

I really like this comment because I agree and was trying to write a comment that said this but not in a toxic way. People act like Hacker News is some bastion of discourse that is raised above the rest of the internet but it's not. Mo

Curious: Why'd you go with a 2080Ti and not just a 2080 or 1080? Did you just want the RTX support or did you just want the absolute best possible GPU for gaming regardless of price?

The problem is if you want a 4K tv from Sony, Samsung, LG, or Vizio you'd be hard pressed to find any that are not some variation of a "smart" tv. You could go back to 1080 and find some dumb TVs still but then you're lo
