How do you make modifications to code once it is generated? This is the most interesting part to me - you say there is a chat assistant that can make changes? Does it rewrite the whole file, or how does that work? Do you use git diffs?

Finally someone else using ASTs while working with LLMs and modifying code! This is such an under-utilized area. I am also doing this with good results: https://codeplusequalsai.com/static/blog/prompting_llms_to_m

My favorite thing to do with ChatGPT and coding is making fast prototypes. Since you know hallucinations might be a problem, and since ChatGPT struggles with larger contexts and files, just play to its strengths. I have lots of ideas of &qu

I don’t. How are new grads supposed to learn the ups and downs of different choices they make? Just being told they’re led astray in a blog post isn’t gonna work - it’ll backfire. I used node as a new grad for things it wasn’t meant for and

We had one of these in the house when I was a kid in the 90s. Seriously wild to learn what it was when I was like 12, after some years of not understanding ha. Never really was sure if it would work or not.

Samsung Galaxy S4 had one a decade ago. Also had a humidity sensor! A true weather station (barometer and light sensor too!)

Aha, thanks for that detailed answer! Really fascinating to hear others' approaches to this area of building simple but full apps with LLMs. I'll definitely be following your progress, curious to see where this goes. And I will re

Ooooh, this is interesting. I think I'm building something quite similar! May I ask, how do you solve the code modification problem? In your demo video it shows the AI prompt is modifying code, not just generating it first-time, but I

Not me. But I do get it, sometimes hearing the grandiose expectations gets to be too much. These days I just tune it out mostly and keep my head down working (on an AI project…)

With a record setting early Cat 5 hurricane and while weaker, now likely headed for TX/MX border (also where Starbase is located), I thought it maybe is a good time to share my favorite place online in the summer.

As other commenters have noted, "median US home price" is not a relevant measure here, where their location would have much-lower-than-median prices.

Mods of big subreddits usually break out threads into < 10,000 comments to avoid issues. /r/politics does this all the time. Not a clue why they didn't do it this time.

Making fun of my side project. An interviewer looked at me with this vicious, incredulous look when I described my side project in ~2019, which was a weather network built on the sensors inside phones. Guy said, “a weather app, really?! You

Even the Galaxy S4 phone was a beast of a weather station: onboard barometer, thermometer and humidity sensor! All can be bias corrected and useful.

Aha, thanks! Edit: it is now interesting how much power subreddit mods have over AI in the near future. Have a lot of disinformation in your subreddit? Lock it, and screw up the billion dollar AI.
