I am looking at Geode to replace our Cassandra test cluster. Is Geode good for a Time series usecase ? Do you have a roadmap/ ETA ? for the 1.0 GA. Any good architecture documentation & how to guide for Java ?

If Netflix buys Pandora, the resulting entity will be an Internet Media power house.

Hackers/Tinkers should understand the difference between syntax and semantics, most of the devs love python because of its clean syntax (95%). Having a lightweight syntax around the semantics of managed platforms will be a win here for

I decided to stick with Opera browsers & SurfEasy VPN exclusively, this move makes me question my decision.

This is more of a business decision than technical. The industry should avoid going into this trap. Co should give users a choice and keep the ports open. I bought a T550 minimal configuration, for $600 upgraded the RAM to 16G & 500G SS

The whole market is inflated with VCs & wall street pricing models. Ultimately the public pays the price of all this.

Having both JVM and Web runtimes for JavaFX will be a viable solution. It will be a similar solution to multiple rendering backends like React. If Oracle can innovate on JavaFX toolkit for Web as the next iteration of JSF (3.0 ?). I can see

Just to complete this thought. Donating the project to Apache would have been great. I would have loved the Cassandra + Parse API integration.

Current TS is targeting JS backend. CoreCLR backend would mean you will have a unified codebase both on browser and server (CLR VM).

True, I was thinking about Urban areas. As you pointed out this should gradually grow to cover suburban sprawls. I am imagining CaaS parking spaces popping up everywhere. ZipCar was the first innovator in this space.

I like the direction where GM is going - Car as a Service model with seamless HAI (Human Access Interface). I just concocted this.

I have been following unikernel development for sometime. The work done by Atti Kantee and others on Rumpkernels [1] is most promising and has the right abstractions (POSIX userspace using NetBSD stack). Also, in the demo video, unikernel f

+1 for "Virtualization" for physical port insight. What we need now is a logo for each supported protocol on the back of every device or on top of the port (if available) - power / displayport / usb / thunderbolt.
