How am I supposed to bite it now?

The mastering would have to be basically non-existent for it to use a dynamic range larger than available in 16bit, and would mean noone would ever hear the quieter parts. If we're talking unmastered recordings for archival, yes 24bit

by crtasm 2y ago
Exactly, you can't "bypass" poorly mastered audio. Nor can anyone hear the difference between a 16bit and a 24bit file, all else being equal.

The first story is about a facebook group, so shouldn't the group admins be kicking out reported scammers and making sure members know not to send money in advance..?

This action continues to be a protest regardless of our feelings about the methods used, or their legality. >vandalised historic and priceless works of art Are you referring to the paintings behind glass that weren't affected at all

by crtasm 2y ago
I find it very strange that you'd associate climate protestors with petty crime and suggest that their actions might be worthy of years in jail.
649.
by crtasm 2y ago
They've been making headlines + the television news with similar actions for a couple of years.

by crtasm 2y ago
What do you even mean here? IA didn't break DRM, and they use industry standard DRM.
657.
by crtasm 2y ago
Those options don't exist for books in their lending programme though. Example: https://archive.org/details/introducingpytho0000luba

Then you can give us some proof/citation on "They had many options for evading DRM" please? Every time I've borrowed a book on there, it's used Adobe DRM just like when I buy an ebook.
