Totally agree, it might not blow up in Nvidia's face, but there's a margin call sitting around somewhere in the pile.

Anytime there's a massive draw down equities an asset-liability mismatch shows up (margin calls) because someone was borrowing money to spend in the short term against the value of assets that have now disappeared. It might not be th

Yea this is speculation, you might be right. I'm not sure how exactly they're doing this but my thinking would be. 1. Selling equity (probably good). 2. Financed with actual profits over time showing up as lower margins on the inc

For some of these tech companies their valuations let them go to the market with their equity in way that is basically a ZIRP environment. In a way you could say this is a competitive advantage someone like Nvidia has at the moment and so t

The counter point to this is that while not profitable, the cashflow is real, and inference is marginally ROI positive. If you can scale inference with more GPUs then eventually that marginal ROI grows large enough to cover the R&D and

It seems similar to how GE under Jack Welch would use their rock solid financials to take on low cost debt that they could lend out to suppliers who needed finance to purchase their products. The biggest difference here though is that most

It's more of a second order effect, once you train people to turn to your app for something instead of the open web you can then steer them towards more owned and operated experiences within that app instead of leaving. Meta is the per

I've seen more search labs in the last 24 months than probably the full decade before that. Not sure if there's actually been that many more search labs out of Google, but there's certainly been a lot more worth talking about

Suspect this is another surface they want to play around with as a gateway into an AI/ChatGPT like experience. Google have wanted to get people out of the web and into an app for a long time and have mostly failed because traditional s

Interesting, using webviews is a common shortcut for a lot of functionality, and even native apps will occasionally have some webviews (that you might not even notice) out of convenience (and sometimes necessity). Apple themselves run into

How new is your site? The domain might just need to mature a little bit. Other than that I would add some organization schema to your site to help confirm that your site is the canonical 'home' for you business, possibly a Google

How generic is your brand name, and are there other brands that sound similar? Two reasons this usually happens. 1. You’re trying to jump on a generic term that is already established and make it your brand. Ie don’t try claim ‘superfood’ a

A serious company would not consider this research. Zero evidence of anything is presented. No one in the organisation or advisory board have any expertise in building modern LLMs, and most are self-fashioned AI Execs that moved into the sp

The strategic insight behind Arc was perfect – your browser IS the Operating System, and so we should build a browser that can function as that platform. Arc had pretty good market validation with early adopters, they say that growth was fl

This is why I think we should just be packaging tools into apps though. Let ChatGPT/Claude/Cursor manage my Oauth tokens, and then just bring tools into those platforms without a whole MCP server in the middle.
