I agree here. I looked into setting up a public instance. Realized quickly if it gained tracking a single box is not going to work and you are immediately in a scale out setup of postgres at least. Once you get to 3 postgres nodes, 2 LB&#x2

My Lemmy instance just went dark and tosses 404 errors about JSON responses. Its also now removed from the join-lemmy.org site and some of the trackers. And to be honest I have no idea if it will come back....I guess this is the risk of cho

I dont really have an issue with ones political leanings. On that site or otherwise. No doubt I have conversed and even debated with some that are Communist or Socialist, both on the internet and in real life. I was just in Vietnam for 3 we

My account on Reddit is 17 years old. I’ve been on lemmy for a couple days. I’m still very unsure about it. It’s not the technical changes of being federated, those didn’t take too much effort even for me with no experience with mastodon et

You can’t fix an issue if you are in complete denial of the source of the issue. It wasn’t western trash on the banks of their rivers or in the city corners. No doubt there may be some trash that does cross the oceans and hit their coast. B

I can’t speak to where you have been. But that’s not true that I saw in Vietnam when I was there this year. For example. Go buy a bunh mi and they wrap it in a bag, and place it in a grocery bag (to hang on your scooter). Want a pressed sug

I setup account limits to the $25 water mark with the plan to just swap to that, probably for the annual re-up option. Then today I noticed they upped their quota. Talk about timing. Ill proabbly stick to monthly for a while. Honestly not s

My home is 3300 sq ft/306 sqm on 2.5 acres or 10,000 sqm. My kids each have their own space. My wife has her own space. I have an office/space for myself. We have a guest bedroom (well 2, if we pick up the playroom). It keeps the
