The "average" cost of a Bitcoin transaction is just that, the average . It's not (part of) the true cost. The "true" cost is specific to the transaction. The last time I sent around some Bitcoin, it was around 20

What audience is that? Who are these people relevant to? Microsoft isn't holding back anything, they can't force these people to update their software. If everyone keeps supporting them, they never will have a reason to update.

You actually can lay things out in memory using Typed Arrays. There's some overhead to reads/writes though (there is memory safety, after all).
