Awesome to see this posted again! Hopefully, this gains some traction now. It is pretty cool to develop with OpenGL in real-time. Also, there are some videos on this posted by the author[0]. [0] https://www.youtube.com/playl

What a boring release. I don't mean this as an insult, I think this is great.

Are the colors sticking around? Last time I checked they were "limited time". (Unless you already applied one of their colors)

I am being paid, although significantly less than my previous job. It's not that I can't do the work, but it feels like I'm being taken advantage of because I have no professional experience; although I have almost 10 years o

We did and currently do have a manager type person. They are not code-savvy though, which is sometimes frustrating. We just recently hired another intern, a regular developer and a lead, so it's slightly less painful now, and I am stil

It helped that I was already semi-familiar with it, but the other engineer and team lead quit shortly after I joined, and I was left by myself to complete the tasks. It was brutal, and I'm looking for a different job to get away from t

>The entire purpose of an internship is to learn and to be guided by professionals, not to be treated as a cheap laborer. You don't hire interns, you train interns. This has not been my experience. I was dropped into the developer t

I wouldn't consider projects which make $0 to be failures, unless your intent was to make money from them. I like making tools/games in my spare time with no intention of profiting from them. I simply enjoy the programming aspect

There is TIC-80[0] and PixelVision8[1] (interesting license) but I agree. It would be awesome for PICO-8 to be free (libre) software. [0] https://github.com/nesbox/TIC-80 [1] https://github.com/PixelVis

My local one doesn't allow customers in the bathroom unless they buy something. Are there ones that don't?

I fully agree to an extent. Some APIs (e.g. Android) are huge and a pain to type in Java without some sort of completion. Maybe I'm just lazy or used to C, but Java makes having an IDE almost essential.

I like it. Reminds me of Windows 7 mixed with old google chrome because of the tabs. I'm interested to hear more about this!

This is what makes CL feel so good to use. I can declare optimizations and types and verify it with DISASSEMBLE to see the resulting assembly. (If your CL implementation compiles to assembly, such as SBCL) It's possible to make things

I use a Tokyo60. It's mechanical, and has hotswap sockets and I can replace the keycaps and switches whenever. I like that it comes in HHKB layout, and that it uses QMK firmware where I can modify just about anything, including macros

Once Zig hits 1.0 I'll have almost no need for C anymore. I like what I've experienced when developing with Zig, and I think it's neat.
