Once Zig hits 1.0 I'll have almost no need for C anymore. I like what I've experienced when developing with Zig, and I think it's neat.

  Other than the whole UNIX ecosystem never going to anything else, the embedded vendors and game consoles SDKs, or the SDKs from all major desktop and mobile OSes.

    key phrase in parent's post being "I'll", you can leverage other people's C-based assets from zig very easily.
