Getting enough sleep. Seriously, it makes a huge difference. You're able to make better mental connections and decisions when you're well rested, ultimately leading to growth as a developer.

I get that, but that's after the first TB. For a $5 VPS I'd expect most customers wouldn't go over that.

They say on the FAQ: >For every Lightsail plan you use, we charge you the fixed hourly price, up to the maximum monthly plan cost. Wording implies the monthly pricing is a 'maximum' price.

Pretty cool! Spun up a new server in like 30 seconds. I can see this being helpful for small POC's and the like. I'd say a good next step would be to add some more user-data example scripts for common setups. Awesome job!

I think this really boils down to self regulation. In some/most cases no one is forcing you to work 50+ hours a week. I remember a sign a coworker used to have in his office. The gist is - are you happy? If so, keep doing what you'

These are all very good points, coming from someone in a agency/consulting shop. Big things I find are being able to communicate effectively with non-technical folks, budget accurately, and knowing when to ask for help vs. hammering so

I love that the screenshot is HTML. DevOps is known to be very heavily HTML based work... .

I dunno if this promotes their product all that much. It does highlight some major issues with out of date plugins and WP installs though.

Eh, it wasn't WordPress per se, but a plugin. This plugin's vulnerability was also posted YEARS ago. So I wouldn't blame WP (in this case). As a dev, I've come across plenty of out of date CMS/ modules/ plugins

Haha. This is awesome. I wonder what the final output would be. A full song?

Ah cool. Kind of like a Heroku build pack. Still more effort than 'just deploy' though.

Sucks, but we've all been there. If the admin is reading this, it's all going to be ok! Just remember, life sucks, then you die...

Nice write up. As someone who doesn't work remotely this provides some neat insight.

Oh man I so agree with you. Just finished a mini app build with React. I don't understand the popularity.

I think these points could be for 'hip' frameworks in general. As a developer, it's tiring keeping up with the latest and greatest AT ALL TIMES. Anyone have a good comparison of React and Angular that cuts through the hype?

Looks like some formatting issues in the "Super Easy Integration" sample code. JS/Java and .NET have some weird tab spaces. Chrome Mac OSX Yosemite.
