Because someone else in the meeting might say "I'm working on X, I'm stuck and I need help" whereby you might say "Hey, I've worked on X before, chat me up after this meeting and I'll try and help out"

What to me _seems_ to be much more likely though is that multiple cookies are connected to a classification ID that multiple other users may also be connected to and that to identify your PII within their system you'll need to provide

Businesses have a tendency to optimize for making money so if the only way for them to do so is by having people click on ads, guess what they'll eventually become great at.

There is at least one way that I know of to realize your dream. First, disable "do-not-track" header in your browser. Secondly, lobby for organizations to honor the "do-not-track" header. The whole world will thank you.

GDPR defines what is PII and then regulates when companies may use PII. A page visit counter collects anonymous data. Anonymous data is not PII. You cannot tell I was their 345th visitor. >> Yeah, no. Exactly.
