This doesn't seem to be getting the exposure it deserves --- please give links, I'd like to see! You seem to be implying that "the featured article" [1] is not giving that exposure (which is my sense as well). [1] looki

So this is where the right leaning (and quite reasonable, in the long term) observation should be: there's a business opportunity to build and deploy storage capacity with grid stabilization the top feature. That takes vision (which is

When I look at the photo, I see many old people. When I think about the photo, I see many old people who have given their professional lives to this project. I am both envious of them, and grateful to them.

I have harped on this before. Say you have a million dollars. It's not hard to spend that on solar so that you have a million dollars of productive capacity. If you spend it on a nuclear plant, you have a deposit on a feasibility st

Ok, so I got downvoted on this one. Fair enough. I would concede that it's probably not that reasonable for a consumer (mostly) to handle this sort of thing. I reckon there there is some combination of: - surprise factor for the tena

The headline is clickbait. The tenant wasn't paying the taxes, just withholding them and paying them to government instead. Exactly the same as an employer.

You are correct! Not a technology, I'd just give them a list (eg. Shostakovich Piano Cto 2), maybe in the when 'when you read this I am gone' letter, though I would like to make it happen before then, so we can talk! ... an

'Lerc' comment speaks to the key thing here: there was a miscommunication: Donor: I would like to charge you with care and control of this archival material. Recipient: Thank you for the containers and fuel. What happened then is

With a large (at least in kilograms) collection of vinyl and shellac records, I have looked into the 'what happens next (ie., what should my executor do)' issue. The most memorable comment was in the blog of a buyer of collections

Want to ask, are you looking for a cheap printer, or really asking about why there isn't a low end printer brand? A lot of replies (including mine) are responding to the former question, not the latter.

Digression: "What's 2023's word of the year..." I agree with the concept but I wish there was another word for it. The s-word annoys me in a way that the f word doesn't. Also, if you want to explain this to young

We have a colour inkjet, it actually does seem to mostly work even though it's only used sporadically. Generally agree with your assessment though: cheap used laser. Make sure you know about the consumables, but I'm happy with k

(re: lasers...) Also, don't ignore the used market. The price of a used printer can be low enough (if you are somewhat patient) that new printers are either an impulse buy or a very carefully researched one. (ie., not in the middle).

Want to comment explicitly, though I upvoted a similar comment ... a gas turbine in a consumer car will be a maintainability nightmare (where do you find the technicians that can do anything with it?), at least in the current automotive eco

FWIW, I found and played a youtube sound+score of the Quodlibet. I have not figured out if it breaks the magic or increases the understanding or even intimacy with the work. Leaning to the latter.
