I've noticed on YouTube I see a lot of adult sexual ads. Things like home cleaning ads that have an unmistakable wood-grain image of fellatio. I've always wondered "how are these getting past the moderators?". I guess t

Just want to add that while the MI350P is a PCIe card, it is designed for servers. It just has a heatsink (with no fan) which the powerful full-case fans of a rackmount server are supposed to cool. So while the MI350P is certainly more atta

I have never had an LED light bulb fail. I'm still using the same 6-pack I bought over a decade ago, bringing them with me from apartment to apartment. I only have 5 remaining because the glue that holds the glass bulb onto the base ev

For those of you on zsh, I have been a big fan of https://github.com/larkery/zsh-histdb It is written entirely in shell script, with the only dependency being sqlite itself.

There is no correct answer for the number of countries in the world. I'd recommend this Map Men video on the difficulty of deciding what is or isn't a country: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nB688xBYdY

Chromecast from desktop chromium works, so there's no reason they couldn't make the universal turing machine in my pocket do the same.

I was under the impression that when you're streaming the weights from disk because the full model won't fit in memory, that it is solely reading from the SSD, not writing, so it wouldn't be causing wear on your SSD.

Yes, they're different units. Just like how 1 month is less than 99 days and 1 pound is less than 99 ounces. That isn't a digital vs analog thing.

The technology I was thinking of was digital screens. Analog clocks made sense when the best you could do was attach some arrows to some gears on a rotating shaft. Now we can individually toggle lights in a grid containing millions of light

So many plots in Seinfeld would have been trivially solved with cellphones. Get separated in the parking garage? Call each other. Need help carrying an armoire? Call each other. Trying to meet up at the movie theater? Call each other.
