And somehow it wasn't just a rebranded version of the same app. It was like a beta version of a brand new codebase.

Probably the biggest complaint is fusion is now free (for personal use) and Parallels is a subscription. Also you can get other free vm managers on Macs now since it ships with a hypervisor and vm framework.

Posting just for those who are not aware, in the 90's McDonalds was sued for this exact thing [1]. The person had 3rd degree burns and was hospitalized for 8 days after spilling the coffee. --- EDIT --- Just adding that, IIRC, this is

I used to love to go to the bank with my parents or a friend's parents and beg to get to put the tube in. Also remember the local science museum had a pneumatic tube system to play with and we'd sit there with that for some time.

This is just bad and uninformed advice. Adding a passkey to an account is like adding a yubikey to an account (experience wise). You can (typically) add multiple keys to your account. It's also not all or nothing. You can (in every ser

The TV industry would like to have a word with you. :) Aesthetics is a thing and people love thin screens. Beyond pure aesthetics thickness absolutely does matter when you are sticking your laptop into a backpack.

"Indecipherable string" to me means you likely don't understand the language or how it works. The language itself works very well for what it needs to do. It does not work the same way as something like parsing an object and

Adding python support for local use would be a great way for me never to open an excel file ever again. That is so dangerous. Wasm maybe, full-blown runtime without any sandboxing? Nope.

It does take away your decision by default. This is opt-out, not in. You don't get to choose when it happens or to what version. This is a totally different beast than rustup.

It's totally different. In go "go build" will fetch a new toolchain without your asking it to. For that matter it seems every go subcommand will do this (even --help [1]). [1] https://github.com/golang
