My guess? The system is being fed real-time data from other sensors (re: soil condition). Everything else can have sensors on board, cars do this.

There is a standard that is significantly better than SMS and Apple has so far chosen to stay with SMS as the only fallback. Blame Apple that talking to anyone not on iMessage sucks. Also, the features you mention are all extremely new to i

Blame Apple for this, not Google. Android supports RCS, iMessage does not. Apple is the last holdout. There's no good reason to have it this way other than lock-in.

Github actions has Mac runners at the same rate as Linux runners, including the free tier (though the free minutes burn faster, as I understand it).

As someone who uses Safari on Mac, I can say that compatibility issues are a big deal. Granted many of the issues are simply from sites checking for Chrome and telling everything else to f--- off. I've even seen a site fail to run on (

I suspect in addition to DNR's there will end up being a DNL (do not link).

Yes you are right that is literally following gps blindly, and probably people should pull over.

Just because they can figure out how to use it doesn't mean you don't teach them how to use it. In particular what to do with the information they get from it.

In both situations I don't think this is "blindly following ai". If you are unfamiliar with an area, hence why you are using gps, then it is reasonable that someone does not know a street is a one way and it may not be immedi

But how do you get the thing that implements that interface? Either the framework has to know how to create a querier for each specific type, drop to using empty interfaces, or use generics.

By default you need the same GOPATH and GOROOT. Compiler version must be identical (not a huge stretch). cgo reproducibility is not a guarantee.

But you literally said "build stamps do not change this", and it absolutely does. Of course as I mentioned it does not look like go is adding a build time to the binary.

"reproducible by default" if the system is setup a certain way. Build time injected into builds would absolutely break any reproducibility.

Do you have an example of how to make this work with an interface?

They are already not reproducible. But build time is not included, it's the commit time of the commit the build comes from, from what I gather.

Indeed I flipped which was 16:9 and which was 16:10 in my head.

I got these flipped, monitors went 16:10, then changed to 16:9 https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/16:10_aspect_ratio

When monitors went from 4:3 to 16:9, tv's were going to 16:10.

Totally feasible on Linux, btw. Packaging an entire system is more about convenience than anything else. It's also pretty difficult to package just the libs one needs when you are dependent on libc and other C libs. I suspect that if

The whole reason we switched to 16:9 is for more real estate for side-by-side apps. Perhaps with the age of insane ads embedded with everything, that extra vertical space is more important. Not sure I agree with that.

There are already effectively 2 ways to deal with language changes: 1. Min version in go.mod 2. Add a build tag for what to do for new/old version of go (These tags are automatic, you just need to set them in the files)

Yes, you can compile with a really old glibc and use it on a newer one. But glibc does introduce incompatible changes that make it not work the other way and there are issues with stable ABI's across distros.
445.
▲

There is no common/stable set of c libs. libc on one distro is different than libc on another (even just within glibc). It's why you generally can't run an app compiled on one distro on different one. You also at times cannot
