It has a jack and pulseaudio api wrapper. I use it because it means I don't need to muck around with configuring pulse and jack to work nicely together.

I can second Dbmate. The process of a sql migration management is pretty simple and like other comments it's not hard to write something yourself which works well I just prefer to use something a little more battle tested in the deploy
