This was fixed with today's 1.56.0 release! Hurrah!

Unfortunately I couldn't get this working on macOS 14.2 + Tailscale 1.54.1 - raised a support ticket to investigate further. Will report back here with my findings if we figure it out.

Any reason for picking the BSD variants of usedland tooling over the GNU ones?

I migrated the majority of my workloads from Ubuntu 22.04 to Debian 12. It was mostly due to snap packages, netplan, and other tooling that didn’t feel essential. I want my OS to mostly get out of my way and I feel Debian achieves that. If

I have literally just spent the last few weeks writing pydantic models for Kubernetes for an internal testing tool. I’ll see how this compares, it looks outstanding.

Look forward to checking this out, I currently run UTM to have K3s running on my Mac mini Server (m2), I’m torn between moving to Asahi Linux (Fedora) and continuing to use VMs.

You can absolutely run Windows for ARM on UTM, which uses virtualization.framework. I imagine this’ll work fine too, but haven’t tested. The mention of x86 on that page is about running x86-64 compiled Linux binaries inside an Linux ARM vir

This is the kinda stuff I love, I spent weeks learning how to get a Macintosh Classic online so I could use it as an IRC client. Unfortunately it didn’t last long as the CRT flicker drove me a bit mad, but it was insanely fun project.

I’d be curious what changes people are making to their routine to cope with a service like Octopus Agile. I have a fairly extensive smart home setup so toggling devices off during peaks is easy, negotiating with the wife is going to be more

We’re running seven clusters comprising of about ten nodes each. So seventy total. Ubuntu has been mostly faultless also, but having maintained my own Kubernetes Distribution based on Ubuntu it was an area getting increasingly complex with

We’ve been running Mariner Linux in Production for just over a month and it’s been absolutely rock solid. Nice to see this get an official name. I’m genuinely sick of Ubuntu, and for our non-AKS workloads I really hope this becomes an optio

Back when we built our own Kubernetes distribution around the Kube 1.6 era I had to fight really hard with our architect to let me run the control plane with systemd instead of within Kube. The extra nodes were considered to be “a waste of

The only feature NextDNS is missing that I’d love (and am tempted to switch to Pi-Hole / Adguard to get) is Custom DNS records. I really don’t wana run my own DNS Server forwarding to NextDNS just to do this. Edit: I just discovered th

We’re a macOS house that uses Jamf for management and Microsoft Defender ATP for Anti-Malware. Defender ATP gives great reporting but the performance impact on endpoints is obscene. During onboarding for Developers we go through the Xcode C

Safari is slowly getting there as something I can tolerate. I currently use Edge on my Mac, I tried switching to Firefox but multi-account containers just don’t feel the same as Edge/Chrome profiles. Safari has a nice feel to it, but w

I’m keen to see where these devices land over time. Currently I use a k3s cluster of Pi’s in my homelab, which is fine, but sd cards failing once every year or so does get bothersome. I did consider getting an M1 Mac mini, but I didn’t feel

On macOS it’s pretty good, just requires a few extra packages and compiler flags for pyenv to work well. I’ve found pipx to be the most reliable way to manage the installation of pipenv.

Could Passkeys ever be used for SSH? I purchased a Yubikey to use as an ed25519-sk key but found the implementation to be too drastic of a change to my workflow to be comfortable with. TouchID / FaceID for SSH would be a totally palata
