I'm sorry, but I've never heard in all my decades of life about female mutilation among Christians. Can you point to some credible evidence?

Yes, but circumcision doesn't seem to have any long-term effects on genital function. Yes, there are arguments back and forth in the medical community, but it's not an obvious mutilation.

Yes, but it's taboo (this will get downvoted hard) to point out that neither the Christian nor Jewish communities are involved in such activities. (Not that Christians and Jews as a group are sinless, of course.)

When we were signing up for fracking under our land, we contacted the Ohio Dept of Natural Resources fellow who's responsible for tracking such things (groundwater contamination), and he said he had seen no evidence in 30 years of dril

Agree. They clearly have some real-world kerning tuning to do, but I don't know if that will happen given their "look at our perfect new font" campaign. Let's hope the font nerds deep in the bowels of Apple will do the r

Oh, and these idealistic socialists you want to take over and transform San Francisco? Good luck dealing with them once they're in power. Oh, wait, doesn't SF already have a fairly socialistic city government? It's done so we

Sound as metadata, multiple frames in a single file pointed to by metadata? First "snapshot" frame the first, so works with normal software? Lotsa ways to play games.

It's no mystery that the kinds of systems with massive reach--Google search, Facebook, Twitter--are really not data-consistency-critical applications. Who'll ever know if a search result isn't perfectly up to date or perfec

Nifty! Why not define a bunch of custom emoji, one for each card, and use those instead of the big graphics at each turn? Would save massive bandwidth.

Trying to deny the possibility that the universe could not exist is a fool's errand. Clearly, existence is contingent. There is no logical requirement that matter exist, and there's a clear logical possibility that nothing physica

Interesting--the kind of trick you'd normally see in an interpretive language. Marshalling a string object ref to an actual value (before it can be used for string manipulations internally) must incur a fair bit of CPU overhead. I gues
