The article may be an oversimplification, but your comment is an equal oversimplification. There are many environmental conditions that need to be assumed when comparing reactivity. For instance, if you have pure Titanium, pure Magnesium, p

Having the CEO of Quora on the board also smells of a vested interest to hold the company/non-profit back.

Doesn't have to even be that complicated. Remember when YouTube comments used to be a dumpster fire? I'm pretty sure YouTube is doing sentiment analysis on all comments and artificially promoting the ones that tend to be positive.

Yeah agreed. I'm a bit doubtful of the data presented in the article mostly because the company/CEO has a conflict of interest with objective analysis. They earn money from producing 'EV battery and range' reports. The d

I would partially disagree. I think your statements are true, but only for companies that raise investments on the promise of scaling to greater profitability, but ultimately fail to deliver. If the founders delude themselves or are overly

If employee wages are a large part of the rising costs, then perhaps the cost of living for living in SF is too high. The cost of living is too high because rent is too high. Since there is so much political contention to building more hous

The thing is... Pushing outside your lane is VERY often discouraged. The manager sees that any time outside of your lane is less time in "your managers" lane, where you help buml his KPIs/goals.

How long? Consecutive stay in the ISS has been completed for 355 days (almost year) with less than 10 people onboard at that time.

Actually - It doesn't get the numbers right either. If you look at the first reference, "[1]", the author says: "I’ll justify this figure in detail later on. For now, consider that each SLS launch costs $4.2B, and that d

I've heard the opposite advice. Don't worry about competitors, worry about making your product the best it can possibly be (which if successful would be better than competitors).

To me, "master" and "slave" are historic terms used throughout electrical, software, even entertainment industries. Eliminating words from a vocabulary is very 1984-like. Those words have a deep historical meaning, allow

I did read it indeed, did you? > "Yeast cannot produce B12, which is naturally produced only by some bacteria.[8] Some brands of nutritional yeast, though not all, are fortified with vitamin B12. When it is fortified, the vitamin B1

Interesting. Turns out I just misunderstood the source of B12. Seems it comes from certain bacteria and archaea.

by cphajduk 6y ago
Yes sorry. You are right I wasn't very clear and also I didn't realize that B12 actually comes from bacteria and archaea. The organisms that provide us vitamin B12 tend to host said bacteria and archaea within their GI. Alternativ

This reminds me of my homebrew days making custom Guitar Hero 2 tracks. There was a great modding community (scorehero.com) around. This was before DLC was a thing, so if I wanted more content, I had to make it myself.

Not an "implementation", but for me cryptocurrencies seem like a nice way for replacing the slow international wire transfers that you get from the average bank. I honestly haven't used crypto this way much, but it seems like
