AFAIK regular soap, used correctly, is enough in most cases.

Not sure that’s effective enough to make a practical difference.

Makes sense. Slightly envious that you get to live in NYC, seems like a very nice city!

Out of curiosity, have you considered relocating to SFBA?

I’m not wild about vertical videos either. But are you sure a technical solution is the best solution for this issue?

If you find people in the last year of college, perhaps at least some of them will go on to launch a startup…?

In NYC, there ought to be at least one meetup group for startup founders?! I would have a look on https://www.meetup.com/ BTW, did you consider applying to YC? You don’t have to move permanently to SF to join.

And some time after Windows 98, Intel + Windows became a viable platform for running AutoCAD, CATIA and similar engineering software. Perhaps not perfect, but for many companies it was good enough.

It’s probably not worth it to go all they way to a court. But I do agree that having a lawyer sending them a letter might be worth considering.

How would one design a general tool for that…? If multiple publishers uses their own proprietary methods for embedding hidden digital watermarks in the PDF, it might not be so easy to detect them all.

Interesting. In my locale, all info about voting is sent via snail mail, never e-mail.

This. IMHO, Mac for personal computers and Linux for anything server-related gives the best of two worlds.

I haven’t, but one reason to switch that I’ve heard is the ability to run OCI containers natively.

Can you use ImageMagick to split the columns into single files…? E.g. if the columns are the same on every page, you can feed the coordinates to ImageMagick. Then do OCR on each of those files.

QEMU has a Hypervisor[0] backend these days, called “hvf”. https://wiki.qemu.org/Features/HVF [0] “Hypervisor” is a “sibling” to the Virtualization framework. IMHO, the naming is incredibly confusing (:

A coworker came up with a similar idea: We started a VM using Lima, then ran ps to see what args it passed to QEMU. It was enlightening!
