because they are nitpicking in a sexist way. it's the same reason people are doubting how much work she "actually did" on the project people should just embrace it as a cool, slightly ridiculous project that turned out well.

github's where the people are. Everyone already has a github account. Either way git itself means there isn't too much vendor lock-in, just the ancillary parts of the project (issues, wiki, project site)

You can use the python one. I tried it and the npm one and the npm one seems like it's in much better shape (colors were all screwed up on the python one). so, I guess YMMV
