I roughly agree with your ratings and would rate Fall/Dodge in Hell at a ----.

Welp FML. I run a free/lets encrypt/no ads web adaptation of a board game with email verification for only signups and password resets, no "blasts", no nothing else, and I send out ~150 mailgun emails a day. I mean I gu

We made our own reporting. Seems crazy to pay multiple 3rd parties to look at our own data. We're using Apache Druid on the back end. (Giant fortune 50 non tech company)

To repeat what many have said I'm not sure why this is so popular or highly anticipated. I played WoW vanilla heavily 15 years ago, was bleeding edge, had the legendary hammer from ragnaros, and then.. you know.. grew up. Got burnt o

I meant to reply to the guy above me who advocates component level fetch as opposed to using Redux sorry.

What do you do if multiple components/"pages" that aren't even remotely connected need access to the results of an API call?

Yeah it is the hardest of hardcore PvP games - it involves people having to lie to other people, every game. Throw in internet strangers and an ELO system and yeah it becomes an impossible thing to moderate other than "don't use

I've been grappling with this for a while. I run a site/app that is a popular team based hidden roles indie board game. Apparently its full of assholes. I mean I get it, the theme and dynamics don't lend itself to happy pla

I do not have a college degree or bootcamp experience, do not put an "education" section on my resume, and only asked about it ~1/4 times in interviews/contacts. I am paid well at my "lead engineer" role at a

Can't agree with that. Taking a minimal amount of time and effort to host your own site on a TLD shows, at least, a moderate understanding of DNS and all that, much more than clicking things on Github Pages IMO.

THANK YOU. I thought I was going crazy by being apparently the now 2nd person in the world who is perfectly happy with normal JavaScript plus slapping on JSDoc (mostly via custom vsc snippet) onto non trivial functions plugged into eslint.

Irritating attitude and assumptions. Even the wording of "being ready for it" is ignorant. There are many, many successful people who do not have or do not want or will not ever want children.

Hey a relative article. The wife and I have been walking both of our cats on leashes daily for 10 years. They love it, and importantly, it fulfills them - they sleep better, they are happier, they have less anxiety. Warning though: once

Off topic but I'll be that guy: I am continually blown away by just how good VSCode is and how it very much overcame two huge obstacles: being an election app, and its poisonous name.
