I back my favorite youtubers on Patreon at somewhere between $1-5 each. My monthly Patreon charge is north of $50 right now. I pay more per month for supporting Youtube content than I do for Hulu & Netflix combined.

Have you ever actually had a feminist literally scream in your face? I was trying to only address the part of your post that seemed to be blatantly undermining your own point. You talk of etiquette, yet you respond with kneejerk, stereotypi

And it would be okay if it was a skinny feminist? Don't see what her weight has to do with her rudeness.

Do you know if they ever reject donors due to health issues? I've been rejected for blood donation before because some blood centers consider fibromyalgia an auto-immune condition. I couldn't find anything about it in the donor fa

Thank you for mentioning Ample, as I hadn't heard of it before. I'm a T2 diabetic, so I've been avoiding Soylent because of the carb content. Ample looks like it's made of things I'd actually feel good about putting

Clinical depression is significantly different from terminal illness. Depression doesn't have to be a death sentence. Yes, it is immense mental, emotional, and intellectual suffering. But that doesn't mean death is the right answe

Exactly. The whole state sits on porous limestone, and we get all our drinking water from underground.

Well yeah, but with that list you could easily have just a caper bean salad without the banana, or maybe spaghetti with the sundried tomato, capers, and garlic. Maybe part of the problem is a lot of people aren't going to think of putt

I also have chronic pain (fibromyalgia) and have had a similar experience with cannabis. It makes me feel spacey and like I'm dreaming rather than awake. It didn't really reduce my pain at all, only my ability to concentrate on th

I'm a Type 2 Diabetic. I control my blood sugar with a low carb, high fat diet. I don't eat extreme amounts of protein, but I do need a form of it that doesn't come with a lot of added carbs, and I think eating whole foods is

I was replying to a comment about T2 diabetes. If you're genetically predisposed, then "proper diet" is pretty strict. I am a T2 diabetic, and control my blood sugar with a low carb diet. I'm pretty familiar.

Not sure where you're located, but the Walmart brand Reli-on testers are as accurate as any other brand you'll find on a pharmacy shelf, and have very reasonably priced test strips (glucose meters are like razor blades or printers

High blood sugar damages the pancreas beta cells. If you have poorly controlled high blood sugar for long enough, you will lose the ability to make insulin in addition to being insulin resistant.

It's risky if you shoot up insulin every day, or take other drugs that have an effect on blood sugar. You could wind up in a hypoglycemic coma and die.

I kind of feel like we're speaking past each other here. I'm not sure what sort of dysfunctional cat/owner relationships you've observed to make you so vehemently opposed to the idea that they can be mutually beneficial.

Well now I'm confused. My cats have never done anything that could be likened to an abusive partner. I respect my cats as individuals with their own needs and desires and they respect me back. We're like roommates. If you had a ro

If a cat is "randomly lashing out" at their owners, then yeah, that's a pretty good sign that the owners don't see things from the cat's perspective. Cat social behavior has its own internal consistency though. Usua

I don't really see how it could kill the cat. I guess maybe if it fell off the wall and landed on one but since it's mostly light plastic and tape, I doubt it would hurt the cat much if he/she failed to dodge the falling devi
