perhaps you mean execution quality? speed doesn't average out. if a broker takes 170 milliseconds to execute on average - that's an eternity. It's hard to know if execution quality averages out. it's hard to interpret

humans also fail for all sorts of reasons that are unpredictable. if, for example, Waymo, demonstrates properly calculated lower accident rates with their cars than with humans, then at some point you have to agree with what the data says.
