The people working in the low skill jobs being eliminated aren't capable of contributing in more meaningful, impactful ways. That's why they work in low skill jobs.

I've been using silicone vents in my nostrils for several months, and they've made a huge impact on quality of sleep. It is a much cheaper alternative to cpaps.

I've encountered this so many times, and it always follows a similar pattern. I tell them to fuck off in Chinese and call it a day.

The West would lose? How? China cannot project force aside from ICBMs. So, it's to our advantage to give away IP instead of making them discover and invent things on their own? This is some r/latestagecapitalism level of nonsense.

China IS asserting control of territory claimed by other countries. Do you deny this? Whether or not China can justify their actions, other countries will be provoked. Just face it, Xi is steering China towards another big leap backwards. A

Colloquially, when Chinese people refer to Xinjiangren, they mean non-Han Muslim people. I heard a lot of casual racism directed towards them while I lived in China. Chinese are being "inclusive" because A. they are ignorant, B. t

Was that interviewed man in Xinjiang a Han or a Uyghur? I'd be challenged to think of something more duplicitous than a street interview in Xinjiang.

The US should act in its best interests, not China's. What's the advantage in helping a geopolitical adversary who has not demonstrated much capacity for "playing by the rules"?

Nice propaganda. Meanwhile China is building islands in the South China sea and provoking violent encounters with fishermen and coast guards, causing nearly everybody in SEA to build stronger military ties with the USA. The only ones to swi

You're not wrong, but it's also true that China is exploiting our liberal, rule of law way of doing things in the USA. As for a record of doing harm, mobile apps like douyin (China tiktok) have enabled a total police state in Chin

I'm seeing a lot of "censorship is bad" propaganda coming from the shills. This resonates with liberal minded people who are against censorship. Now, that's not to say that most people here are shills or wrong for being

This is post hoc nonsense. China blocked US tech companies so that they could copy what the US companies do without any threat of superior competition.

Does it stop functioning intermittently? I've seen cases of devices in the middle of a failed OTA, and the device keeps requesting the OTA again. If it's going on and offline often, this might the case.

I always get a chuckle when people asked if these are used in commercial projects. The answer is yes, they are in millions of devices.

Provisioning IoT devices has to be done through native apps if Web Bluetooth isn't viable. It's a total PITA. Web BT permissions can be disabled if not needed. I reject Mozilla's and Apple's reasoning.

You'd close a garage door blindly and ignore any problems that could occur? You haven't thought this through.

You're on the right track here. Garage doors are a security risk and safety hazard. All these homebrewed, cobbled together solutions aren't tested to UL standards like the official stuff is.

I made pdh4engineers.com, because there aren't many continuing education courses for PEs that focus on subjects like software and controls. The site is up and functional, but it needs some SEO and more content.
