I think upon examination, the folks actually shipping things at those old dinosaurs are by and large unaffected by the constantly changing upper reaches of their org chart, which just becomes a drain on profits.

The history of humanity is nasty class stuff going on. It's kind of amazing the 'pax capitalista' we've had for the last few decades, honestly.

Yep, she was around 2-3 at the start, and registered 75 at her last annual physical. I hope you're adding K2 as well...

Don't be so sure. My wife was prescribed 20k/day for a few weeks, by her doctor. Tested again, and then put on a 10k/day that she's been on for nearly 5 years now. Annual physicals put her right around the middle of th

I've had the exact opposite experience with GitHub enterprise sales. It took 3 months to get them to add a new user block to our existing sub. Sometimes I think it's amazing they're able to even generate revenue as poor

You..you do have control over the devices without internet access. That's the point. You don't have '100% control' over things like code because they're embedded, certified devices, generally.

MacOS/iOS Contacts supports this, for what it's worth. You can enter a 'Company Name' and leave fname/lname blank, and it'll give it a different default icon, as well as show it as the company name in lists&#x2

HR staff at the warehouse are the same 'corporate' employees as the box lifters at the warehouse...

The majority of those million+ workers are working jobs as an option against fast food. Productive is 'pick thing out of bin, place in box', not creativity/etc. Don't confuse the relatively tiny tech company wrapped ins

Napster didn't start until 1999 :) I remember downloading mp3s on Napster, and then using my parallel port to transfer them to my Diamond Rio MP3 player. All 4 songs at a time!

At first I thought this was going to just be a go program handling BGP data. And then I saw they injected the routes into the local windows FIB. Somewhere a CCIE is crying silently, and doesn't know why. I get that it works, but someth

Non-profit does not necessarily mean 'charity' (which gets you the tax avoidance). There are a bunch of other categories that are non-charitable non-profits. Home owners associations, for example.

I don't think it's a good idea to view 'the Government' as a monolithic entity. A local, elected DA could get super popular taking these experts to court over perjury concerns. That DA has no involvement in the social s

Don't those vocational experts testify under oath when they make claims that there are all of those jobs that don't actually exist anymore? Is that not perjury?

It's been a while but nothing from pine64 was well supported without hacky 3rd party custom kernel rolls and the like, with no apparent effort to move stuff into mainline. I hope that's changed?

Are you using the macOS client a browser client?

by count 4y ago
You can do that in Teams client for macOS at least. Teams is even smart enough to pick up new audio devices mid-meeting, if, say, you connect a new pair of headphones.
