Its tricky to compare debt between countries since it works differently. In Sweden you can't 'walk away' from your mortgage like in the US for example. This means its much safer for the bank to lend money and that interest ra

What seems to have happened is that Centurylinks internal routing has collapsed in some way. But they're still announcing all routes and they don't stop announcing routes when other ISPs tag their routes not to be exported by Cent

IKEA had their payment system go down worldwide also. I really doubt that uses Cloudflare.

I think its unlikely SpaceX will have an IPO. Elon likely wants to maintain as much control as possible until he gets to Mars. Spinning of Starlink makes sense once its up and running.

The Firefox bug report for a websocket message inspector was opened 7 years ago. It took 6 years before it got implemented. Its no wonder they lost marketshare among developers.

It appears to be a backend primarily for illegal iptv services. Which probably can be used for legal stuff also, but the feature set is all there for stream proxying.

Boeing is one of few companies using program accounting. Won't this kind of slump drastically cut the number of planes they can distribute their development costs over for the 787 and 737 Max projects also?

Those records probably pointed to an ip or a CNAME which was not registered or not under microsoft control. But some more information on that mistake would have been nice.

I live in a universal health care country. I also had a private health insurance thru my employer which guaranteed specialist care within a certain time. The universal health care means that the extra insurance was not very expensive at all

Considering how popular unpolarized plugs are all over the world I don't think a fused neutral is much of a problem in a lamp.

This trick is what caused me to click and Ad for the first time in forever. If the icons happen to be dark its easy to ignore the 'Ad' text. Maybe its time to supply a complaint. I doubt this is legal in Sweden.

I don't think you can draw any conclusions at all from this. They appear to have measured how far it is from their CDN pops to the anycast instances of the TLDs. Edit: I see what they did. They picked a random nameserver for each TLD.

I wonder if anything is using URL.equals to check for 'safe' urls. Some creative use of DNS TTL could probably make things interesting.

Considering 900 drives out of 1800 crashed in HP computers at a Swedish hospital in the last few months I suspect there is a connection. Maybe HP and HPE were more tightly connected 3 years, 270 days 8 hours ago.

As a consultant I found that you don't even have to follow the hierarchy. You know you won't be at a company forever so just ignore those who are likely to obstruct and skip the hierarchy. And once you have backing from higher up

GTM is something which shouldn't exist in the first place. Adding a script to your website is something that should be going through your usual release process. But avoiding that release process is also the reason why some deparments u

Just the fact that you can't cast your own local content when the mothership is down makes me want to throw out all cast devices. Ignoring DNS servers seems like a very minor issue.

I've also given up on OSM due to all the toxic territorial mappers. The idea that the real world might have changed since they last biked through the area unfortunately eludes many of the kind of people attracted to OSM.
