The point of an OS is to run apps. Given a headless machine, which windows apps would you be interested in running and why would you chose windows over linux? About the only reason in the past has been IIS and MS SQL Server. With .NET core

That might make sense for you personally but if you consider all the other Texan households also buying generators, and the multi-family dwellings that can't each have a generator, the math starts to look different.

They are both used to add client-side interactivity. I agree vanilla JS is often a capable alternative. jQuery offers a lot of convenience though.

The scale on the map appears to have a filter maximum of $150 so I would guess it's 6 times their expected maximum, so very very expensive. Here's another region to compare to: https://www.pjm.com/library/maps

I still use jquery actively. Without substantial work and complexity, a typical react site's initial page load still requires an enormous javascript chunk for anything to show on the screen. When I notice a site I'm using is slow,

All these product shots look fake and I don't see any specifications, just vague claims. I'm curious in what way it seems superior.

The 7 transactions per second limit would suggest it is not a suitable replacement. Considering the energy cost and environmental consequences this article references, we'd need the ice anyway. Edit: this (older?) article says 4.6 tran

Software support for the hardware encoding/deciding is very not good. Webcam streams mpeg to electron, electron probably decodes in software, reencodes in sofware, then decodes incoming stream(s) in software. If there's any client

I think most people still covet google. However, given the hiring process, notorious interviews, propensity of product failures, declining core product quality, and periodic ethical issues, I feel like maybe it's undeserved.
