The Greens had and squandered the oppportunity to present themselves as being fresh, unencumbered, honest, evidence-based, non-corrupt. Baerbock's resume problems and the plagiarized book sections destroyed that hope, as well as her el

A magnet does not always switch the pacemaker off. For pacemakers that are vital, the magnet usually switches to a safe mode, e.g. some fixed non-adaptive frequency and voltage. Frequency and voltage are chosen in a way that the patient wil

Historically, this is not entirely correct. Segmented MMUs (as opposed to the more common, currently used concept of paged MMUs) were intended to provide the hardware support for the protection levels and the data/code mixture in OOP.

Then OOP is no true scotsman, because no language implements all the principles. Or in other terms, without an implementation, OOP isn't even usable, it isn't even real. Just maybe a desirable ideal somewhere.

Well then, C++ doesn't have encapsulation, therefore C++ isn't OO. Hell, even Java isn't OO if you allow JNI.

There are no real OO principles. Ask ten people and you will get ten different answers. OO is defined by the languages and tools claiming to implement it, and the set of principles derived from those is inconsistent and contradictory.
